Emotional Song, “Rubber Trees” by Pranatricks Will Help You Find Meanings Of Life

Today, I received a sneak peek of Pranatricks’ upcoming release, “Rubber Trees”. Upon opening the MP3 for Pranatricks’ song, I began to feel his download streaming into my consciousness. This song release is dripping in the artist’s true authentic emotion.

What is the true meaning of “Rubber Trees”?

I interviewed the artist, Pranatricks, to find out.

The first thing I heard was a chaotic yet ethereal synthesizer tone. Is there an experience you’ve had that carries the same feeling that this sound evokes for you?

Through my practice of Japa Yoga, I experienced repetition as relaxation. Similar to the inhale and exhale, there’s a cycle in which you can hear the loop ending and starting again. The repeating synth loop is like the repetitive sound of chanting a mantra. It is the universal sound of OM, something higher than our cognitive understanding.

In the song, you reference a soft subtle glow at the base of a pyramid that eventually engulfs us. What does the glow represent for you?

The glow is what builds through the practice of a certain discipline; meditation, music, or other pursuits of one’s highest self. The more we cultivate our craft, the more we are operating in the realm of one’s higher self. Allowing yourself to get out of your own way is the greatest feeling in the world. The glow expands when we grant ourselves permission to let go, find ease, relax the body and raise our vibration.

When you sing the lyrics “nobody knows that we’ve come apart, and we’d do it again”, it makes me think of the parts of my life where I’ve overcome adversity and have no regrets. How do you feel about your own experiences of resilience in confronting life’s challenges?

Painful experiences are deeply romantic and personal. Unraveling happens usually because somebody is reflecting back to us exactly what we need to look at. As difficult as these experiences are, there’s often great wisdom in confronting the truth. Witnessing our own vulnerability and having the courage to stand in our truth, that’s where the lesson is.

Your music is clearly a soundtrack to life. If your song could be heard anywhere, what would be the best setting to listen to this song?

I imagine my music transporting somebody away from their suffering, seamlessly integrated into their own personal experience, bringing them to a higher place. I could see someone riding the bus, looking out the window, delighting in new beginnings, or sending a salutation as they ride toward the bitter end.

If you could go anywhere and do anything, where would you go, and what would you do?

Take me to a place on a lake with a sauna, and a fire that’s secluded. Somewhere warm and peaceful. Every day is a gift and I got another day to give it.

Pranatricks’ music brings together his collection of personal life experiences. Even in it’s simplicity, the depth of Pranatricks’ authentic expression gives his sound so many dimensions. Every instrument has its place, and the poetic lyrics seem to be saying so much more than the ear could hear. Needless to say, I was left with more questions than I had answers.

Add the song to your Spotify playlist, share it with your friends, and ask them what they think is the meaning of “Rubber Trees”.
